How to Upload a File to a Website

If you set up your website using WHM you should have received server details that look something like this:

This is what you will use to connect to your FTP client. An FTP program is one which allows you to upload your files to the web server. I use a free program called FileZilla.

Once you have the program installed click file at the top, then site manager. Now you will want to add your site, click new site and name it what you wish.

The host name is the domain name or the IP you were given earlier. Then you will want to select the log on type as normal and enter your username and password. That’s it! You can now upload files to your web directory.
